Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s digital governance through secure hosting and infrastructure support for the Nigerian Government Enterprise Architecture Portal (NGEA Portal).
This was highlighted at the official handover ceremony of the platform by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), held in Abuja under the theme: “Strengthening Digital Governance and Whole of Government ICT Integration in Nigeria.”
The Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone, Prof. Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, who attended the event with some members of the GBB Management team, delivered a goodwill message emphasizing the strategic importance of the Portal in driving coordinated and efficient government-wide ICT systems.
He commended the support of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the leadership of NITDA in delivering the platform, describing the NGEA Portal as a critical milestone in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey.
“For too long, our MDAs operated in silos, with duplicated infrastructure and fragmented systems. The NGEA Portal changes this narrative.”

Prof. Adeyanju noted that the platform goes beyond a digital tool, serving as a unifying framework that establishes standards, protocols, and interoperability across government systems.
“The NGEA Portal is not just a software application; it is the masterplan for our digital identity—ensuring that government systems operate with a shared language and purpose.”

He reaffirmed Galaxy Backbone’s role as the hosting and infrastructure provider, ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable, and sustainable as a critical national asset.
“As the provider of shared infrastructure, Galaxy Backbone is proud to host and secure this platform, ensuring its reliability and long-term value to government and citizens.”

He also acknowledged the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, noting that his push for a “Whole of Government” approach has been instrumental to the initiative.
