Andela Unveils 'AI-Native' Talent Cloud to Combat Global Skills Gap

LAGOS / NEW YORK , Andela, the pioneer in African technical talent outsourcing, officially launched its AI-Native Talent Cloud this week. This move signals a departure from traditional "full-stack" engineering toward a specialized focus on engineers who can build, deploy, and maintain agentic AI systems.

The Strategy: The platform now categorizes developers into three high-demand tiers:

Builders: AI-Native Full-Stack Engineers.

Integrators: Back-end specialists focused on AI systems architecture.

Scalers: DevOps engineers specifically trained for AI in production.

"We aren't just hiring developers anymore; we are deploying AI architects who understand RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and FastAPI as fluently as Python," an Andela spokesperson noted.

The launch coincides with a new AI Academy curriculum designed to upskill 200,000 African technologists by 2027.
